At Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT, all projects participating in the pitching sessions were eligible to win prizes awarded by Spanish and international companies and institutions. The prizes and their respective winners are:

  • Council of Europe Series Co-Production Development Award:

    Projects in development selected in the Pitch Copro Series, Pitch High End Series, Pitch Music Series and Pitch Docudrama Series sections of Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT 2024 were elegible for the Series Coproduction Development Award 2024, which consists of a 50,000 euro grant awarded by the Council of Europe, home of Eurimages. Among other requirements, projects must be developed by one or more independent production companies established in a Eurimages member state (all 39 member countries) and must not exceed 10 episodes and 600 minutes in total. The winning project is: THE ADVENTURES OF A TURBO-FOLK PRINCESS, by Oxo Productions and Equal Film (North Macedonia):

 

 

  • RTVE Play Award:

    RTVE selected 2 projects (Ex Aequo) from among all those participating in the Pitch Copro Series, Pitch High-End Series, Pitch Music Series and Pitch Fundación SGAE sessions to agree on a development contract with its author(s) with the intention of reaching a production agreement. The winning projects are: K-DREAM, by Angeli Pictures and Icrecream Pictures and MAKARRAS by David Caiña, both from Spain:

 

 

  • Triodos Bank Award:

    Triodos Bank will contribute with €3,000 to the project that best upholds Triodos Bank’s values. The winning project is: SOLES NEGROS, the spanish project by Igancio del Valle and Rai García:

 

 

  • Acorde Award:

    Acorde – Music Library and SFX chose a Pitch Copro Series project, and a Pitch Docudrama Series project, to give them access to and use of all the music in their catalog for the pilot of the project, which may be extended to the first season of the project. The winning projects are: DESTAPE by Satisfacion Iberia (Spain) and GISBERTA, LIFE AND DEATH OF A TRANS WOMAN, by Volf Entertainment and Ultravioleta (Portugal/Brazil):

 

 

  • Castilla-La Mancha Media Award:

    CMM will award a Pitch Docudrama Series with the production of a royalty-free promotional clip for the project so that the production company or author can use it for commercial and promotional purposes as they wish. The winning project is CASO COUSO, by Recrea Films (Spain):

 

 

  • G.E.M.A. Pitch Perfect Award:

    G.E.M.A. (“The Global Entertainment Marketing Academy of Arts & Sciences”) will award one project with 2 annual professional memberships to “The Global Entertainment Marketing Academy” valued at $1,200. Plus 1 exclusive global access pass granting free entry to any G.E.M.A. worldwide event in 2024 (both in-person and virtual), valued at $2,500. The winning project is A BIG VOICE, by Trilita Films (Spain):

 

 

  • Conecta DIGITAL Award:

    The Award goes to 5 Spanish projects in development that have a clear focus on virtual technologies such as special effects (VFX), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) or any other immersive technology. It consists of mentorings and the possibility of participating in Conecta DIGITAL (event to be held in November 2024). The winning projects are: NEW NOMADS (Sergio Oliveros), BAD DECISIONS (La Maldita), UNCLEAN (Vértice 360/Born Wild), THE OBSCURITY (Roberto Márquez) and CASO COUSO (Recrea Films):

 

 

  • Spain Film Commission Award:

    The Spain Film Commission will award 3.000€ to the project that best showcases the value of Spanish locations to continue its development. The winning project is: THE PULSE OF WATER by Nadie es Perfecto and Lola Cinema (Spain):

 

 

  • Warner Music Award:

    They will grant cession of the Dolby Atmos Studio at Warner Music Station for 3 days to the winning project, which is K-DREAM, by Angeli Pictures and Icrecream Pictures (Spain):

 

 

  • WAWA Award:

    The Worldwide Audiovisual Women’s Association (“WAWA”) have selected one project to be awarded 5 WAWA memberships, as well as the opportunity to participate in the pitch sessions at the next WAWA Business Forum. The winning project is: STAND-UP THERAPY, by Dadá Films & Entertainment (Spain):

 

 

  • Content Americas Award:

    The Content Americas Award (audiovisual market that brings together the Spanish-speaking audiovisual industry) consists of 2 accreditations and a private table where they will be able to meet with potential partners in its 2025 edition from January 21st to 23rd in Miami. The winning project is: THE SUMMER OF DEAD TOYS, by Coming Soon Films & Corte y Confección de Películas (Spain):

 

 

  • TV Drama Vision Göteborg Award:

    They have chosen 1 project to be presented at TV Drama Vision 2025, and include them 2 hybrid accreditations, 2 night’s accommodation for two, and €300 travel grant. The winning project is: THE SLEEPING CELL, by SPi (Portugal):

 

 

  • SANFIC Award:

    They chose 1 project to be presented at the SANFIC INDUSTRIA Series Lab and pitch sessions. Includes 1 hybrid accreditation. The winning project is: GISBERTA, LIFE AND DEATH OF A TRANS WOMAN, by Volf Entertainment and Ultravioleta (Portugal/Brazil):

 

 

  • NEM Zagreb Award:

    Will offer 2 accreditations to NEM Zagreb 2024, 3 nights accommodation and pitch opportunity at the event to the winning project: DESTAPE by Satisfacion Iberia (Spain):

 

 

  • BAM Bogota Award:

    The organization have selected one Pitch Copro Series project to award them 1 hybrid accreditation and 3 nights accommodation for 1 representative of the project, as well as the opportunity to pitch at BAM Bogotá 2025. The winning project is: SAVES US FROM THE FIRES OF HELL, by Equeco (Chile):

 

 

  • Serial Killer Award:

    Serial Killer has selected one project to be awarded 2 hybrid accreditations and the opportunity to Pitch at Serial Killer 2024. The winning project is: GOLD WAR by AGITPROP (Bulgaria):

 

 

  • The Core Award:

    The “Young Jury”, comprised of 3 students from The Core School, awarded one project the recognition of having the best pitch. The winning project is: THE FOODIE AND THE FUSSY, by La Diferencia (Spain):

  • PRODU Award:

    Projects that have won the prizes above will receive a one-year subscription to PRODU media, as well as editorial follow-up for 2 years on the progress they make.

  • DO La Mancha Wines Award:

    15 projects from above were selected to receive a courtesy box of DO La Mancha wines.
